    Default Help

Hi my boyfriend is really into knives and for christmas he wants a blade sharpener for his knife he carries everywhere. Its a Keyshaw Speedsafe knife that he just carries around in his pocket. When we went to Cabella's to look at stuff for a trip to the lake he came across the Lanskey Diamond knife kit and was like that's what I want for christmas. Well christmas is almost here and ive been looking at the reviews for it and they are pretty mixed. Some love it some hate it but the most common complaint i am seeing is that it doesn't fit all knives and that the stand isn't all that great. Does anyone have any other recommendations or ideas on a better one or anything i should get him in addition to the set.

I've used the Lansky for years. Never had any complaints. It will sharpen most anything from a very small blade to a fileting knife up to a machete. It even has a sharpener for serated blades. I've even used it for a small hachet. Ordered one for a friend about 2 months ago from amazon.com and it was under $20. I'll try to find out if it has a model number and post it.
If by what I have learned over the years, allow me to help one person to start to prepare. If all the mistakes I have made, let me give one person the wisdom that allows them to save their life or the life of a loved one in an emergency. Then I will truly know that all the work I have done will have been worth every minute.

She's not a member because she didn't register. She can't post in General Knives.
