    Default Ryobi Tool Sale

Home Depot has Ryobi combo packs on sale for stupid low prices right now.

I just got back from buying my Christmas present from me to me. I got the combo that has variable speed drill/skill saw/reciprocating saw/spotlight/ charger/2 battery packs===$129.00 !!!

Either of the power tools would sell for $50 and the battery packs are 2@$60 so this is almost $300 worth of tools for $129.

Their batteries fit all the tools and they have been using the same style battery pack for an eternity and promise not to change the form.

Great deal if someone is due gifting of a set of tools for Christmas.

If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

These combo kits would be fantastic for someone living off grid. A 45W solar panel into a single battery w/inverter and charger with the two battery packs to the tool set would have several hours power tool use for most projects.

Most of my cordless drills will drive screws for hours before a charge is needed. At least by the time I have run down the battery I am ready to stop.

My greatest problem has always been using a cordless product until the battery was trashed and would no longer take a charge, then discovering the battery cost more than a new drill. With this set it will always be cheaper to buy a new, reasonably priced, battery than replace all the tools in the set.

Milwaukee kinda does the same thing....batteries....are 2 for $100 on sale.

But do use the Ryobi Battery Chain saw carry in the truck.....inverter to 115v in the dash....runs the charger....so onboard charging in the truck

Did this with my work Milwaukee hammer drill driers and Sawzall

Picked up the cordless hedge trimmer. It's been great. Got my eye on the cordless chain saw as a backup for the gas powered saw. It takes the same battery as the hedge trimmer.

I own the 40 volt cordless Oregon chain saw. Its a great little unit that has plenty of power for small trees and brush. You can't go logging with it, but if you keep it charged, its always ready to go with no gas to mix or starter cord to pull. I imagine another brand would be comparable.
There ain't too many problems you can't fix with $500 or a 30-06.

Him-"Whats the best knife for survival?"
Me-"the one that's in your pocket."
Him-"I don't have one in my pocket."
    Me-"Exactly."

I have the 18v Dewalt kit. Love it. These batt kits are well worth it.
