Default is a 2x72,in belt sander essential for knife making?

i've set me up a small knife shop and so far have a few sanders.
    1, a 1x42 kalamazoo, 2,a 2x42 kalamazoo, a 4x36 and a couple other smaler ones.
a bench grinder a 6,in double bufffer and so on, but do i really need a 2x72 grinder/sander?
or is it just a nice tool to have? i'm quite new at this and really need help on my handles
doing the contour work and all.anyhow i'll try to post some pictures, calling all knifemakers.

I know some people that make beautiful knives and do not have a 2 X 72. Personally I find them invaluable and much more versatile. With my 2 X 72's I can change attachments easily, going from 8" contact wheel to 6", to 1" to flat platten. The flat platten can then be adjusted to provide two different size wheels.

I'll answer any handle questions (or other questions) if I can.

I don't use jigs for any of my grinding. It's all about practice.
