    Default tin bucket/coffee can

In the course of activities I seem to have run out of #1 coffee cans which are my go-to storage container. Apparently I am not drinking enough coffee.

I decided to find an alternative container and searched for such finding empty paint cans at Lowes.

Imagine my shock to discover that an empty tin paint can will cost me more than the coffee can which is filled with coffee!!

I can even buy the can with coffee, throw the coffee away and come out fifteen cents cheaper!

What is the world coming to?
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

    That really sucks......
Was at a yard sale a while back...guy bought 10-11 metal coffee cans #1 pound, #2 pound ...with basic cleaned out basement junk in them for a #1 buck apiece...several had the tops the metal tops that came with the wind off strip.

Then he bought a plastic wash basin for #1 buck......emptied all the cans into the basin....and told the lady they could keep the stuff....to resell it.
He just wanted the cans....old and in really good shape........

    Basicity beat me to it......

So did you get any cans at Lowes?

    Nope, no cans from Lowes!

I will go to Kroger, buy the Chock Full O Nuts coffee, empty the contents into freezer bags and tuck it into the fridge until I need it.

Sort of a "drink the wine, eat the dogs and use the paper for wadding" moment.

I found a old coffee can in the barn. Sold that darn thing on ebay for 30 bucks or so, couldn't believe it. Glad someone wanted it, I probably would have stored bolts or brass in it.
so the definition of a criminal is someone who breaks the law and you want me to believe that somehow more laws make less criminals?

They sell empty paint cans at Sherwin Williams.

    Like $2 or something.
I had a can of hi-build floor varnish that had a bent lid and went there to get an empty can to transfer the varnish into. They just gave it to me for free.

That was what I was saying in the OP. For $2-$3 I can go to Kroger and get the coffee can, and it is full of coffee!

So..............if you use a decaf coffee can to store your bullets does it slow them down? Does using an espresso can speed them up?

Well, I may be wrong.....but the metal cans are a step up from cottage cheese containers.......for storing...ah, nuts, bolts, nails?....Yeah...That's the ticket....nut and bolts...Yeah.....Just sayin'
