If you mounted that thing vertically on the tailgate of the pickup and had a little 2500w generator along you could do your splitting in the field and have a lot less stress on the old back!
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

Put mine in the "Little Red Wagon" with a loading table.....still have to lift but not as high....
The HF 4 ton version hasn't died yet.

Not sure a genset would run the motor (Guess I gonna have to try it).....mine will dim the lights on the shed...20 amp circuit...on the end of a 250ft. run of #10 wire...House to shed.

You are pulling a lot of amps on that long electric line.

I have a little 2500w generator that should run it. The splitter rating is only 1500w but the surge might be double that.

I once ran a line on a construction site nearly 100 yards and it would not even spin a skill saw blade. It just sort of ambled around in a circle and had no power.

I keep lusting after a 22 tonner gas BIGAZZ GOFASTER GOGZILLA splitter.....but the little electric 4 tonner won't die.....have only run into a couple of really snarly hunks it wouldn't handle.
This is well worth $219 bucks.....

I'm still using sledges and wedges. Hope I can for several more years.
