    Default Military Cookbook

While searching for mess kit recipes I stumbled across Link: http://www.quartermaster.army.mil/jc...full_index.pdf
So I scrolled down to "beef, chipped" which is card L 052 00. So I entered that into a google search and guess what? Link: http://www.quartermaster.army.mil/jc...n_l/l05200.pdf

For survival meal planning and portion size this could be quite handy. Any thoughts or opinions?

I love my Mom, but I ate GOOD in the Navy. My Dad was an old Marine and he couldn't believe we ate like we did in basic.

(...we did sneak in the officers' line in Orlando nuke school once in awhile... DANG!)

Nice comprehensive list of meat free entrees there. That's nice.

Thanks pgvoutdoors. Found them on amazon easy enough. https://www.amazon.com/How-Feed-Army.../dp/0060891114

It really is easy to find recipes for mess kit cooking. Any single skillet or one pot recipe works. The girl/boy scouts have multitudes of recipes, and any manner of canned food or wild eatable can be used. I was going to delve into mess kit chili, but seeing as how everyone has a chili recipe perhaps I should just start a different thread?
