Well, guess it's once again time to test the preparedness. Jim Cantore ain't outside my door, but it appears Hermine is headed my way. Good Luck Y'all.

Just finished tying down the kayak and canoe on their racks. About as ready as we can be. Will make a big thermos of coffee before bed in case we get up early to take care of a few things.......gotta have coffee. Anything less would be uncivilized.

Don't forget to fully charge the cell phones crashdive123, now that everyone is slaved to modems instead of having landlines. Guess it's time to pop the cork on an onion bottle of San Sebastian Port. Thanks for the reminder, need to unlock the lock on the kayak just in case the dingy gets swamped. Don't forget to fill the tub, it gets hard to flush if the well pump stops.

Well I see the Crash, Max and M118lr are still alive and posting.

How did you guys all miss out on the power shut downs and flooding?

I dodged the bullet in Ocala. A little rain a little wind. I just left the rifle range and the sun was out.

The north by northeast track drew the worst of it further west. Never got caught up in any of the eye wall, so the Civil Services didn't become over loaded. Had a little clean up and some puddles, but nothing that became threatening.

Rain just moved back in. We got about 5 or 6 inches of rain. Local weather reported that the highest wind gusts were about 69 mph. Around town there are still some power outages, but nothing too major. This morning the temps were wonderful with a nice breeze. 40 mph is still a breeze right?
