A full roll is lightweight and offers a lot of multi use. Add a small bottle of hand sanitize to save water and you have the perfect fire starter.
Yes.. lots 'o TP.. my little slide show was thrown together, so there are some smallish/lightweightish items that I forgot to mention.. including another FULL roll of TP

I always love and almost always learn from seeing what other folks decide is important enough to bring with them. Thank you very much for taking the time to post this, Miz Dawn. Very well thought out obviously.
    Several interesting choices.

(DS, for us country folk ....it's the all that "stuff" we carry in our truck or trunk.....LOL)
You mean like the three "extra" jacks, beside the OE jack, I carry? My Hilift, a little floor jack and then a 4 ton "bottle" jack. Of course when you are pulling a stock trailer you need a real jack.... or the pry bar, chains, 2 ton comealong, tow straps, clevises, shackles, snatch blocks and cribbing? I will not start list all the tools...no point..

Packing light is for sissies. This was a weekend loadout. The other three canoes were just as loaded.

And that's nothing compared to what the canoe looks like loaded with weapons and ammo.

Default My name is Dawn and I'm addicted to collecting cordage :)

You guys have no idea how much better you make me feel. I get worried sometimes that I may be going to extremes. This is so comforting and such great confirmation that I am not out on the fringe.

    I cme by it honestly.....
MF was a forest ranger.....spent a lot of time out and about in the water and woods....Always got us home with what he carried.
As did MM at home....they both were great at covering any need or situation ......and always was ready.

The first BOB bag was Mom's purse....and Dad's trunk on the car or back of his truck.......I just kinda continued on...........

Oh, make no mistake. We're all out on the fringe. But we'll be a lot more comfortable when the fringe gets burned, blown down or really really wet.
