Default Fishing for snakes with sunfish (bream)

Well, if you get sick of eating fish, just know that you can sacrifice a small fish and possibly have snake for your supper.
Hope you enjoy the short video.

Snake fishing...wouldn't it be called snaking? Hehe.

    Why isn't the barb exposed?

Do they go for the fish better if the fish is still flopping around on it's own?

The fish was already dead. I was trying to make to fish appear alive by bouncing it around.

I kept the barb tucked inside the fish because you can catch them without actually hooking them. I don't like to risk hooking them through the top of the head because it could permanently damage them.

Thanks for checking the video out.

Every time an older person dies, its like burning a full set of encyclopedias that will never be published again. So, if you ever want to learn more of anything, just find a old tradesman and hang out with him and then when he passes on, not the full set will burn, you'll have parts of it to pass on to others.

We call young northern pike "snakes"....thought that's what you meant.....

I don't care for snakes either.....water snakes generally are avoided.....unless you are shooting them.

Snakes are so beneficial. Not in my sleeping bag, mind you but out in the wilds. Can't imagine how overrun we'd be with creeping things if not for snakes.

Thanks man. It's pretty fun if you have a place in mind where snakes are usually piled up.
