Default Plant I.D. Help in Michigan

    Hello all,

For my second post here on the forum, I wish to ask you for your help in identifying one plant and confirming my unsure identification of another; both of which are in my backyard gardens

I have looked through both of my books and many identification sites, but cannot confirm the identity of this plant.

At first, I thought that it might be lambsquarters, which I had only ever seen in books and in photos. Then I found the plant in the photo below and thought, "No, this looks more like lambsquarters. That other thing can't be."

    So my two questions are:
    1. What is the plant in the first photo?
    2. Did I correctly identify the plant in the second photo as lambsquarters?

Let me know if you need more information and I shall provide what I can.

    Sincerely and respectfully,
    Lionel Twain

the top one may be aramath, the bottom looks like lambsquarters
so the definition of a criminal is someone who breaks the law and you want me to believe that somehow more laws make less criminals?

During my obsessive search for a positive identification of the second photo as lambsquarters, I believe that I may have found a match to the first photo: Oakleaf Goosefoot. I would post another link, but I seem to be restricted from doing so, due to my new member status.

There is a restriction on new members. After 10 posts the restriction is removed. It's part of the anti-spam software.

No idea on the first photo but the second photo looks like lambsquarter to me. A little longer in the season and it will go to seed. That will be another cross check against some of your book images.
