Thread: hello from Southwest Virginia

    Default hello from Southwest Virginia

I'm a 27 year old male born and raised in the woods and farmland of southwest Virginia.
I study herbal medicine, martial arts, general bushcraft, strategy and tactics, and foraging.
I consider myself a novice in all fields as we never stop learning, which is why I'm here, I love to learn and Facebook was becoming a problem.
Proud descendant of a scotch-irish druidic bloodline...
Lover of ancient and medieval weaponry and fighting styles, particularly those of celtic design.
    Martial arts enthusiast.
    Wild food, and mushroom lover.
I suppose that's about all I can say about myself.

Hello. I'm the one with the cleanest butt because I don't use toilet paper.

Welcome from Alaska. I'm also Irish.
Why do I live in Alaska? Because I can.

Sorry, just now saw this, I like to do over week to two week survival camping trips, or the just regular old tent recreational camping just to get away when work allows it, I don't get to go as often as I like.

Thank you, and "Erin go bragh."
If you would like additional and very complete information on the celtic peoples, and in particular a lot of info on Irish celts, I would suggest "the druids" by Peter Berresford Ellis. It's very well researched if ancestral stuff interests you. And I would love to visit Alaska I'm not sure if I could survive out in the wild there very well yet, but hopefully I'll get to visit and camp one day.
