Default More Nile Croc's caught in the glades.

Rick, sharpen up that pencil. We got another critter for the list.

I believe I posted on here about the Nile they pulled out of a canal back in 2014. That was Nile croc number 2.

They have pulled out other species of crocs from South Florida waters before. In '89 they pulled a Siamese croc from a Davie canal.

But, the niles seem to be popping up like the pythons and anacondas, tegus and monitor lizards did at first.

Okay, I can see, for example, getting a baby python not realizing what you were signing up for, and while I really can't understand thinking that setting it free would be a good idea, I get that it happens. But nile crocodiles....are people actually saying "hey, that little thing is going to grow to be a thousand pounds of irascible murder-log. Let's take it home!"?

What do you mean WE Kemosabi ?

Some of us had snow this week and we aren't worried about Egyptian wildlife roaming the woods.

There was another suburban bear spotted over in Ohio a day or so back, but no big man eating lizards or cow eating snakes.

The older crocs need to be careful. They could throw a hip.

That rips it. I'm adding Georgia and Alabama to the list just for a kill zone. I think the state of Florida should hire Crash to wipe out everything and start over.

Neat and cool, variety is the spice of life. Now, we only need to add a few saltwater crocodiles from Papua New Guinea and northern Australia to the mix - a few people every year are reported taken by crocodiles in the Pacific region, and the Philippines has reports of 20 footers being captured because they were a threat to local people in Mindanao.

Now that "foodies" and recipes from cooking shows are the latest trend, we can develop a new USA cuisine. I have eaten crocodile from the restaurant menu at Madang (Papua New Guinea) - it had a slightly fishy taste but was palatable. Bon appetit

I want to see the gator boys grab a nile and put it in the back of their truck to "save".

You can get croc on the menu in quite a few restaurants in Florida. Not so much in the Orlando area, weirdly enough, at least that I could find, but 40 or so miles northwest I saw it quite often.
I kinda liked the taste of it.

Gators and crocs are more closely related to birds than lizards and will bond with a person in the same way a parrot does. Like all predators, man has built bonds. Like all relationships, sometimes a partner turns on a partner.

    But, look at this bond...
