    Default Shrade... is it back?

I dropped an old Shrade when pulling apart an above ground pool and discovered it under deep water the next spring. - no rust - still worked... didn't need sharpening... so I thought you cant get them anymore..

Someone on a another blog found this.

What happened here? I thought they were out of business?

"In July 2004, the year the company celebrated its 100th anniversary, the factory in Ellenville was closed. The Schrade name was purchased by Taylor Brands LLC, who continue to manufacture products under the Schrade brand as well as Old Timer, Uncle Henry, Imperial & Smith & Wesson knives."

Taylor Brands has purchased the Schrade name and can use it for knives they have made for them. I am no knife businessman, but I think that is how it works

I have an LB7 my MIL gave to me in 88. Lost it in field while planting corn with my Dad in 91. Just found it again by luck. No rust and still works great. Simply amazing.

There ain't too many problems you can't fix with $500 or a 30-06.

Him-"Whats the best knife for survival?"
Me-"the one that's in your pocket."
Him-"I don't have one in my pocket."
    Me-"Exactly."

I think Schrade is one of the best bang for the buck knives ever made! Very well built at a very fair price!
