    Default Can't resist a Deal?

Rainy day today...went out to the flea market....

Couldn't resist a "deal"...28 or 29(?) old pocket knives in a display case....
Most marked USA....and few of the names are:
    Clark Broth's
    Remington
    Imperial
    Colonial
    Johnston
    Hammer Brand
and a few marked with Just USA

Case is metal with glass front....and enough room to put in some of the older knives I have, as well.

Nice find. One can never collect/have too many knives.

Actually most of them....the two bladed jack knives....seem to well used, as do the one with advertising ...a suppose freebies.
I guess I gonna have to learn all the names of the different types.....

Do you think they were worth about $1.50 each w/display box?

    $40 bucks for the collection.

You've already gotten $40 out of them just looking at them and remembering the times when you saw them in the original sales displays.

Beats the heck out of the $45 I had to pay for a Dr. visit last week. I got nothing to play with out of that deal!

I used to have one just like the yellow one in the upper right hand corner. Hm, wonder what ever happened to that?

That's an Imperial as well.......I think everyone had at least one of those.

When I get them home I need to go thru the drawer and add the others into the case....but hidden away too long.

Looking over that display I get a flood of good memories.

in that upper right corner is a small single blade keychain knife exactly like the first knife I ever carried, back before first grade.

Forth one up in the center row is identical to the two blade, pearl handled Imperial my grandfather carried. It has live in the jewelry box since 1965 when he passed.
