    Cool Hello

    Hey all,

    The name is Bryce.

I am a 34 year old guy who lives in Detroit, MI.

    I've been a EMT-Paramedic since '07

I have studied wilderness survival techniques, primitive camping, mountaineering, and outdoor leadership for as long as I can remember.

In my years; I have camped in 48/50 states in the US, spent 72 days in the Payette National forest, 6 months in East Africa (traveling as a local), and summited several peaks, including Mt. Kenya, Mt. Kiliminjaro, Mt. Washington, Mt. Ranier, and Longs Peak.

Currently I am only able to get out for a few weekends per year, but then again; life throws you a few curveballs which hinder the ability to escape.

I would place my experience level at expert, and have great interest in instruction.

Being an Eagle Scout has prepared me for life in a way that nothing else can. "Be prepared" is the first thing I consider when going out in the wilderness.

When I'm not in the woods, I enjoy music as a whole, and not that garbage you hear on the radio all day. I play a variety of instruments, and use music for my meditation.

I am currently trying to improve my newly acquired skill of flint-knapping.

I hope to learn from the forum, and help out in any way I can to provide up-to-date and accurate information that I receive regarding wilderness survival.

The primary hope I have for this forum is to collect market data and any other helpful hints you all have regarding opening up a survival/self-reliance training school in Michigan's Lower Peninsula.
