I'd need two hours to find a job.
No. The two don't go together very well.
Yes, but no one has really done it yet.
Yes, and at least one show has succeeded.
Musta done something to tick you off huh?If we're not bothering to get their consent first, I have a few contestants picked out for this one already.

Get a bunch of our survivalist celebrities together:
Bear Grylls; Army Ranger Rick; David Canterbury; Cody Lundin; Dr. Ron Hood; Tom Brown; Les Stroud; Mykel Hawke; J. Wayne Fears; John D. McCann; Ray Mears; Matt Graham; Joe Teti, etc
Then gather some 'regular people'...not necessarily into the lifestyle extensively, but also not completely out-of-their-element folks either. The t.v. survivalists alternately pick someone from the group of 'regular people' one at a time, before knowing anything about them, until each one has 3. To make teams of 4 people - each having one t.v. survivalist and three 'regular people' (don't know what I should be calling everyone).
Then take everybody deep into some place which is a bit inhospitable and wild, each team separated by several miles. Leave them with some minimal & 'primitive' collection of tools, equipment, and supplies.
They must live out there on their own for 30 days. In each team, the one person is not allowed to ever actually do anything, and it's up to the other three to do everything. They can rebel, argue, or cooperate...but it's generally understood that it's up to the one to instruct, direct, and organize, while the other three should be following his direction.
After 30 days, either they must all hike to a common location, or be picked up and transported there. Once there, as a test of how they've maintained their fitness, mental capacities, and social cohesion, the teams compete in some series of challenges of the sort found in Survivor. The survivalist celebrities step back and don't participate at all.
Winner of the challenges, wins.
Any team who loses anyone before the 30 days are over, is out of the running completely.
If the challenges simply cannot be completed by anyone, whoever gets the furthest, wins.

I would take all of the production and casting crew and all of the first two seasons contestants of the TV show "Alone" and place them anywhere east of the Mississippi River where resources are abundant along with a handful of "real" woodsmen and see just exactly what they can do WITH a firearm and game animals. See how the tv people match up against woodmen who genuinely live that way daily.

...Bear Grylls isn't allowed to drink anyone else's urine...
Though, I can imagine a couple of the others being willing to oblige his request - "you want some of this? ok, here ya go..."
