    Default Wilderness First Aid

March 11-13, 2016 I was lucky enough to be part of a Wilderness First Aid class and get my certification for an extremely low price. The cost was more or less just the cost of the book and the paper the certification card was printed on. All of us learned something new and insightful and passed the test. Here's a couple of pictures of our adventure. Some of them may be a bit more visual than you'd want to see so be warned.

Great Course to have passed for any outdoor activity! Thank You for taking and passing the course. We need more people certified in Wilderness First Aid. While I am also certified, I am too old to be going out on wilderness search and recovery missions. I was teaching First Aid and CPR until they closed my local Red Cross office. I have only used my WFA knowledge to treat my own injuries. Did I mention that I am accident prone? I think the best skill that you can have for Wilderness First Aid is to be able to improvise and think out side the box.

Seeing your pic's reminded me of a past event.

Had a wild experience at the local Tech school.
You could sign up and use the racquet ball courts....for free.

Friend and I were playing....we had the room for an hour.....
Walked out and they were set up for a disaster training course, in the gym......bodies everywhere, fake blood, broken bones, all sort of fantastic special effects....

We had to walk thru them to get to the locker rooms....Like walking thru a place crash site.......
