The Feds passed one of their "sneek laws" back in December. Almost no one knows it exists so they are operating illegally and do not know it. That way it can be applied "selectively" to some and not others.

The fine for not registering your drone, $27,000 for the first offense.

Drone are already being used for hunting, and PETA and other groups have been using them to harass hunters already. Most states have laws against harassing legal hunters.

KyRat, I have seen that law. The biggest issue with laws like that is state and local LE can't enforce federal law and there aren't hoards of feds looking for the millions of little drones.
