Default Idk how I forgot to post this...

I made this purse for my oldest daughter as a gift for Christmas. She loves it.

The bag itself is from a pigskin split. Its a loosely-grained suede that will pull apart at the stitching if used on its own. To make a bag from it, you must make a liner to take the weight of the contents.

The lining I used is 14 oz. garment grade canvas, as is the shoulder strap.

The leather reinforcement plate and lid are 14 oz tooling sides.

I used copper rivets and burrs [I need more practice with these] and brass hardware.

    Welcome to the build-a-long......

Piping is canvas. It's 2" wide and folded into 4 lengthwise to cover the liner and edge of the bag
