I made this purse for my oldest daughter as a gift for Christmas. She loves it.
The bag itself is from a pigskin split. Its a loosely-grained suede that will pull apart at the stitching if used on its own. To make a bag from it, you must make a liner to take the weight of the contents.
The lining I used is 14 oz. garment grade canvas, as is the shoulder strap.
The leather reinforcement plate and lid are 14 oz tooling sides.
I used copper rivets and burrs [I need more practice with these] and brass hardware.
