    Default Snoooooowwwww

it snowed last night! Granted, if it's a more than a centimeter I will eat my hat, but the wind is blowing some cold, so it might actually stick around for a day or two. It does my heart good to see it. Now, if the forecast could change so we could maybe have a white Christmas that would be great.

We had 17 flakes......all landed on Bella's (the lab) butt....but melted as soon as she came in.

Molly the pup...8 months old, hasn't seen snow yet.....

Gonna be a while yet before we get the snow......(OK by me)

It's going to be a tremendous shock for the pup when she sees it.... take pictures. My Mollie wasn't nearly as excited as I was. Snow and chippendale legs don't mix.

That's the little pup you posted pictures of a few months ago? She's turning in to a gorgeous dog.

That's her.....big puppy drinks Red Bull when I not looking, I think.
She was chasing Bella around as Bella was trying to catch the snow flakes.....wondering "Whatcha doin,' Bella, Huh, Huh...What are those thinks....Oops gone".....

This should be fun when we do get out big snow.

She was playing in it at "The Place" when we had our first snow.....but was only an inch of so.......waiting for them to play in the deep stuff.

Upper 30's this morning with highs in the mid 50's. Supposed to be in the 80's by Christmas. Looks like we missed another white Christmas.

Snow's pretty hard to predict (unless you have the early warning system our grandparents had - "rheumatism". That seems to work better than the scientific prognosticators. We were supposed to get 1 to 3 inches this last batch. It was more like 6 inches and it's one of the heaviest snowfalls I've seen since I moved to the Denver area. (That would be 2 years this Christmas Eve). Also, here, a distance of 40 miles (South Denver to Boulder) can make a huge difference in snow amounts. Parts north of Denver tend to get a startling amount of snow compared to South Denver.

I keep expecting a three footer.
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.
