Yeah, I kinda chuckle at that myself.

If only I could have gotten the number for that bookie, I wouldn't have to buy MN #6!

OK, I put this guy on ignore and then he calls me a Yankee ????????

I was going to be noble about this one and just let whatever was inside that white blank ignore banner slide but that is more then anyone living south of the Ohio River can take.

    A Yankee!!!

That really chaps my nether regions !!!!!

'scuse me, I am going to leave for a few minutes. My stress level is elevated. I need to go over to the range and work on my social skills.

Called our local Dunhams Sporting Goods store a while ago........they had been the go to have a sale one in a while and good selection of Nagant 91/30, and SKS's.........None have been in for a while....and the guy didn't know when there would be more if any.

So the last ones I did see locally were at a show....and most were the 91/30 w/laminate stock.....and Chinese M58 that were dragged to the show behind the truck.
    And those were $189......

Seems that embargo is in effect?.....
Didn't think the old stuff was effected.

Yeah, I am not sure what the deal is right now with the embargo.

Last weekend I went to a new Cabelas by my place just to check it out. Just before the gun library, they had a couple of racks of the used stuff that was not deemed worthy to be displayed. In there was a Chinese Mosin which had no rust, but other than that was the worst one I had ever seen. Price tag........... $299! I about fainted. I asked an associate if that was correct thinking that perhaps it was mistaken for a M44..... Nope....

Also on there was a fair condition Chinese SKS for $549, a Russian AK that was pretty beat up for $749, and a Remington 870 Express with long barrel and plastic furniture that had been used and abused for $349. There was also an older Ted Williams single shot .22 that had seen better days for $199. I am thinking I am richer than I had thought!

Just all depends on where you go. I think some people/places price things high because they figure sooner or later a someone will bite. I never buy anything in a hurry so I just move along waiting for a fair deal.

That's about what I have been seeing........

Dunham's used to have a sale every 3 months or so.....so those were the last $89 buck rifles I found....and had a bunch to pick thru.
    Got a couple there a 1917 Hex and a 1943 Round.....for that.

M38 was $149 as was the M44.....and only about 3 years ago.

Hey Nate, what place is that? I'll risk driving across the River for ammo.

I can not find spam cans of 7.62x54 anywhere on line. AIM has been out for months.

Glad this thread went back on point...We haven't had a good Mosin Nagant thread in a long time....

I found my self shooting them more than just about everything else the last couple of years....with maybe the exception of the ML's

When shooting at the place.....a "Spin the bucket on the post" at about 190 yds. is kinda the grand finale on about the longest straight line, level, open range to the back stop we have.

Takes place about dusk.....and break out a spam can and a few rifles.....and spin the bucket on the post.....with what ever you have.
M44 and M38.....Lots of smoke and fireballs!

Neighbor get upset when his tricked out AR gets out shot at times but these old war horses.....must be the smoke.....LOL

Yes, I have been called a Yankee.

More specifically I have been accused of being one that produces "Yankee Bull S#$*."

It is evident this ..I will continue to refer to him as a person... never heard me talk.

I feel greatly oppressed, socially offended and politically incorrected.

Never in my life have I been abused in this manner and I may need to seek therapeutic counseling.

At least he did not accuse me of being from California, that would have really tripped my flipper !

Thanks Nate, I need a spam can of x54.

I used to buy a lot of stuff wholesale from SOG back when I had an FFL.

I will give them an call. I have shot a lot of that Bulgarian stuff and it is as good as the Russian and Polish.

I buy stuff on occasion from them. There inventory is rather small so there is no guarantee on anything being available with them. Always hit and miss with them but they are an option.

    I prefer AIM myself though.

Nah, the license is a little further up North than me. (Points, NNE)
