    Default New Ride

After test driving (to make sure Mrs. Crash was comfortable with it) picked up a Native 14.5 tandem kayak. As you can see, it is sort of a hybrid kayak. It converts from tandem to solo very easily. This is a discontinued model, but rumor has it that Native is now under new leadership and some of the popular discontinued boats will be brought back. I chose this one over the beefier (lots of bells and whistles) 15 foot (current model) because this is about 25 pounds lighter. Makes it a lot easier to load on top of the big truck. The payload is lighter but still rated at 450 pounds.

Maiden voyage will be this weekend....hopefully.

Nice rig. All you need now are air horns.

I agree with Phil. Back rests and the two wheeler movers are a must.

Hey Crash, how deep does it go when someone yells "DIVE DIVE DIVE!"?

Very nice kayak! I was kinda curious, where are the anti-gator gadgets? Surely there is something to ward off gators then you're that low to the water!

Oh very cool. I like the easier loading weight. That's what kills me about my canoe.

IF it makes the wife happy disregard this post.

Very nice! A bit more relaxed than your old boat (the one that run under the waves) I bet.

Based just on color, I'd have to say cantaloupe or mango.

.....and that sure was an annoying voice in the vid.

Huh? Bright color attracts the wrong raptors, mammals, and fish.
