    Hi,

My name is Phil Stapert. I live in southwest Michigan. I have been a trail/ultra runner for several years. In the last few years I have taken up fastpacking and winter camping. Recently I've developed an interest in foraging.

The topic of wilderness survival interests me because in my recreational activities I could find myself lost or injured and have to spend more time than planned out in the wilderness.

I'm also somewhat pessimistic about my personal financial situation and western capitalism in general, so I do a lot of thinking these days about what it would take to survive if I found myself homeless and/or jobless.

    Welcome to Wilderness Survival.

If I ever found myself homeless and jobless and needed to survive I would take a positive attitude to as many job applications and interviews as possible. And probably shave my beard off for most (except gun range and outfitting jobs) because the USA is a very effeminate society where most people what the men to look like women and their elected female leaders to have short hair and wear pant suits ha ha ha...

If you are a senior research scientist or engineer a long beard is still acceptable thankfully. Possibility because women and effeminate men are still rare in that field...
