    Thumbs up Wolverine

I sold my last fur today. A 35lb male wolvering. I got $450.00, Woo Hoo! Trapping season is over, all the furrs are sold and I survived another Alaskan winter in the wild. I starting to feel old. It's getting tougher to handle the cold, wet and sea's of PWS. I wonder how much longer I can do this?

You get any lynx, klkak? I was just kind of wondering what prices are like these days.
some fella confronted me the other day and asked "What's your problem?" So I told him, "I don't have a problem I am a problem"

that would most likely be prince william's sound rick.

    klkak:

one thing i've gotten through the density of my skull over the years is that the older you get, the less able you feel and yet the tougher you are. i don't want to know what it's gonna feel like to be old, because i'm young and already feel old. hard living will do that. but i do know that the elderly people i know who have lived through rough times felt the same way, and they kept on going strong into old age. my grandmother felt that way in her twenties and she's 85 right now and looking damn near unstoppable.

I was told that there is a wolverine somewhere on my proporty. Personally they scare the hell out of me. Here in Michigan they are illigal to kill, But i have five dogs running on my ten acres. How can you tell the difference in the buurows?

A wolverine only burrows when it is having babies. The rest of the time they just wonder around. You dont have to be afraid of a wolvering, however they have OCD and will chew themsleves into a house if there is something in there they wont. Personally I wouldnt worry about them. There are other animals out there much more dangerous. Like "People".

they're not so harmless when they take shelter under one of the tarps which coveres your woodpile and you don't know they're there, but then there's always backing cautiously away. guy i knew who tried to shoo one away with a rake ended up with a shorter rake.

I have never had a problem with wolverines. Everyone I've ever come apon has always been very calm and well mannered.
