    Default Greetings from South Africa

Hey everyone, I'm Nic, from Durban, on the east coast of South Africa. I work online in advertising/ IT and the desk job seriously isnt for me but it pays the bills. Almost all of my free time is spent outdoors fishing, hiking and camping though I have always been interested in blades too. Recently discovered the world of Bushcraft, and tracking and got sucked in bad Sad thing is that there arent any places around here to practice, and even less other folks who are willing to share their knowledge and skills. Today i happened to stumble upon B&B and I must say that I'm seriously impressed with this forum. Excellent info to be found here. I look forward to learning as much as humanly possible here and getting to know you guys too.

    Nic

Welcome Nic the Bush-Ninja hope you learn some new ideas/skills and share some. My late Auntie (she hated the term Aunt) spent most of her life in South Africa, she always complained about the heat in Texas and would never visit us in the summer, evidently the climate in parts of S.A. is very nice most of the year, sounds like a great place to spend time outdoors.

Welcome home. My son hiked parts of South Africa a few years back. Most of his time was further north in the Pretoria/Johanssburg area but he also spent some time in the Drakensburg Park region. He had some pretty hair raising stories to tell when he got back. Frankly, I'm glad I didn't know about them until they were over.
