Default Wood Smoke from Canada in the air in Wisconsin.

Big smoke plume for wild fires has nade it all the way to Wisconsin from Canada

    http://www.weather.gov/mkx/smoke2015

Had a big rain storm yesterday....and it brought down the smoke from 35000 ft.....so they said.

Could smell the wood burning in the damp air....even today driving back to the big city, was smoky and hazy all the way till we got with in about 50 miles from Lake Michigan.

Another reminder that we are still connected even for that far away.

    Oh, this is news!

I have been led to believe, buy the government, that our atmospheres are separate and pollution does not travel from one country to another.

That it does not matter if other nations pollute as long as we keep our own air pristine by restricting industry, destroying commerce and driving golf carts.

Honestly, I saw that on the weather channel and I was amazed at the amount of smoke, since the area on fire did not seem to be that great. It was only a couple of thousand acres, not half of Canada.

There are seven countries in SE Wisconsin....that have smog emission rules and vehicle checks......so cars and trucks keep their emissions down....to allow industry to pollute more.

So those backs lines on the map don't stop smoke?

We have had smoke advisories again for the last several days. Ugh, it's been terrible. Here's a cool tool to see. I'm a bit north of Fairbanks, right in the middle of the state.

Normally this is a place you see a huge valley, broad expansive views...

Looks like the view northbound on I-75 as you drop down the "cut in the hill" at Cincinnati when all the rendering plants are cranked up!
