my photo bucket is causing me grief but was able to pull one lone photo. Most of my axes are usa manufacture. Although I did buy a wetterlings hatchet at smileys flea market down in NC years back. Vintage for the most part, plumbs, kelly, keenkutter, etc. They are not pretty, the handles are covered with pine pitch which is great for gripping. They're somewhat rusty or at least patina-ed.They have chopped chicken heads off, chopped through ice, split wood, made cabins, limbed trees etc.

Here is a lone photo of a hatchet that I carry on the trapline. It resides in a sheath on the back of my packbasket.

Those SAKs are handier than a coat pocket. I carry mine on a lanyard with a firesteel and a p38 can opener

I have a husqvarna hatchet (sorry no pics). I also just got an old doubled bladed axe from an antique mall for 3.97! It seems to be hand forged and was really rusty but I bather it in vinegar and now all that's left is a beautiful patina! Can't wait to finish that project up
