I just spotted a Savage .338 Lapua at a small surplus store nearby. Complete with Bipod and Nightforce long range scope, all for $2350! My birthday is coming up real soon so if anybody wants to get me a gift.......

My books show the base rifle at $1150 and a Nightforce cheap scope is $875 which is $350 below the price you have.

Depending on the scope model and if the rifle is the sniper version with adjustable everything it could be a deal. The sniper version runs $1900 and a mid price Nightforce scope is $1500-$2000, so you could have a good deal.

Living in Kentucky we only have one or two places where one can shoot a .338 Loopie at full range. They are over in the eastern part of the state and you shoot from the top of one mountain to the top of another mountain, but you have to get permission from 73 different land owners to shoot over their land.
