Thread: My grand-daughters day

    Default My grand-daughters day

My little Brianna had a day today.

She first witnessed an attack on a Northern Yellow Bat from a couple of male Boat-tailed Grackles. The bat crawled into the base of my parents areca palms. Then when she took pawpaw out to show him the bat there were to big Cuban Anoles getting jiggy with it in the same trees. LOL

The bat must have just wanted out of the sabal palm to avoid the attention of the grackles. We see them leave the sabal palms every night. But, you can't see them roosted. The tree is like 30' and usually had dead fronds hanging from it.

Here is a pic of the little guy at the base of the arecas.

There are pictures of the Cuban Anoles that I will have Sean's girlfriend send to me. Actually cute pics as well.

Young children's reactions to wildlife are quite comical, and at times, quite scary as well.
Glad hers was a good one!
When all else fails, read the directions, and beware the Chihuahuacabra!
