Default My Vote Has Been Cast.

Today was the General Election over here in dear old Blighty, we have been voting on local council elections as well. I have duly put a cross in the appropriate boxes. I'm not expecting an outright winner, I think we will have another hung parliament.

Glad I wasn't the only one that caught that!

Winnie, I thought you guys were ruled by a tyrannical dictator that appointed people to such positions who are effective at collecting peoples wealth and keeping them at peasant status?!!!! Isn't that what monarchs do????!!!!! Just kidding you. I know how you feel though. I always do my duty to try and stay as informed as possible and vote at every opportunity. Politics is a dirty game and there are no real winners. Hope things go well for you and your countrymen.

@Nate: LOL. Trying to uphold the divine right of Kings was what got Charles I head removed. His successors took note of the error of his ways and are happy being a figurehead head of state.

I'm a happy bunny. It seems I was wrong the Conservative party are heading for a majority and there will be a second term for David Cameron.
I really didn't want to see Millicent and his Labour Party oppos win. They would have finished the job of crippling the country they had almost managed in their last term.

I have always considered my vote as my ticket to complain, right, wrong, or indifferent.

Ditto. If you don't vote, you can't really complain. I'm already drafting my first email to my MP.

yeah... glad I'm not the only one passing on this one.
If we are to have another contest in…our national existence I predict that the dividing line will not be Mason and Dixon's, but between patriotism & intelligence on the one side, and superstition, ambition & ignorance on the other…
