Went out for a five-six mile walk this afternoon on the lookout for Morels but came back disappointed.

I heard they are often found under Ash, Chestnut and (dead) Apple trees. - Is that correct and is there anywhere else they might be lurking?

Sarge, a Quality Control Check on that recipe, please.

    Cool Ok guys!

Ken; sorry dude, but as a "Super-mod" I'm exempt; besides, in the wrong hands Morels can be deadly!

    Crash: Yep!

Leon: Morels are weird. Look for them anywhere in the woods. I've heard that they can be found under dead Oak...or was it Elm trees. Look around old rubbish piles, especially where burning has taken place. Last year I only found three where this year I found much, much more! The thing is that I didn't find any after a certain point although the terrain appeared to be exactly the same.
My theory is that they are sent to earth by aliens who wish to cause a civil war when we all fight over them Where they failed was in the fact that not everybody likes them. Some folks detest them, go figure!

Sarge is correct about the exemption rule. It's actually hard coded into the program. We could tell you but then we'd have to.....it's just too horrible to describe. (theme song from Deliverance starts).

Hey Ken, we may want to rethink the whole Quality Control Department thing. There was a guy outside my house playing the banjo this morning.

I went looking again at my spot this weekend and found NOTHING! It would have been terribly depressing, but I got to cross paths with a coyote, a rat snake, and a gardner snake. That lifted my spirits, but didn't fill my stomach
