Default Watching Survival on Discovery and clearly this is messed up!

The girl is from a military background and the guy is from Maine... well they are parked in the everglades. Go figure...it's on right now.

So feel free to call me out on this - Marines and Army know from survival training - animal poo smoothed on is resistive to mosquito... did she forget?

Not everybody that enters the military receives the same training.

    What crash said.
Also remember that any of these shows about survival incorporate a certain amount of drama.
Regular folks who tune in would switch channels in a heartbeat.

It was a screen pass Hunter.

    Get it?

    TV, screen....?

Sorry, I am a man, but I can change, if I have too, I guess.

All through Naked and Afraid I am constantly trying to guess what it looks like behind the girls blurry spots. I get nothing else out of the show.

Butt shapes, huh? Mine has a shape but I'm not sure what you call it. Maybe a rhombutt (snicker). If you are cataloging men's derrieres then I'm going to back out of here for my own safety. If you are cataloging women's derrieres then I'm going to back out of here for my own safety.

Is anyone keeping a tally on how many men check out of the N&A show compared with how many women go home?

I am constantly reminded of our "Pick Three" threads about the three things we would choose for survival. N&A gives them two, and they always suffer for not having just that third thing, be it a container to boil water in or a tarp for shelter.

There are many times when if they just had that one other item they could get by.

It makes me treasure my little 1 pound coffee cans just that much more.

Last night, they had 3...... a ferro rod and striker....or as the announcer an "magnesium bar", machete, and a pot about 2 quarts?
Didn't get into item picks much?
Took them both a whole day and night to start a fire WITH the Mag bar.......

Squinting your eyes, helps to get more detail out of the blurry spots. Try it. :-)

Notice a ferro fire wasn't a problem in the glades? I been telling you further muckers for years now about palm dander!

I'll never get on those shows. I've got old man saggy boobs and I mooned somebody at our last camp and he threw up.

Getting away from the boob toob myself... Video games and TV shows don't give me anything at the end of the day besides stealing my time so I've taken steps to only have the net and use the net for what I want not what other people want to sell me.

Pretty amazing things started happening around the house, Work started getting done and more and more I'm putting my much gleaned information into use instead of "just storing it for later".

Heck it's 6am in my part of the world and I've just really sat down from a frenzy of canning experiments and vacuum sealing my flour and other seal-able perishables that I was doing around reorganizing the kitchen cupboards.

Living life is allot better than wasting it staring at the idiot box.. Done if for too long and now I'm just done with it.
