Hi,
I am doing a 1 week trip to The Great Smoky Mountains in the first week of May. Any members nearby would know if the deciduous trees are green yet? I know it is spring flower season there now.

I'm in northeast Georgia and the ttess here are. I very steongly believe the Smokies are as well.
What's so crazy about standing toe-to-toe saying I am?

The buds are thick and the leaves just starting to fill in East KY which is about 200 miles north of the Smokies so I am sure the foliage is getting thick down there by now.
My son lives in middle TN and they are already leafed out.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?
Here are a couple of live cams so you can check for yourself when the sun is up. http://www.nps.gov/grsm/learn/photos...ia/webcams.htm
Hi all,
Thanks for the information. The trees were definitely green; light green that is!
I had a great time as usual, crossing off another national park off my list. My traveling partner made it through a few hikes which I did not think she would be able to do or enjoy. So that was good. Enjoy the photos of Smokies spring!
