    Default camping alone long term

people being social creatures more so than not need human contact.
what is the longest you have ever camped out alone?
during the five years i camped out i was mainly alone
atleast on the mountain. in town i had friends we,d hang out talk story
like that but when it came time for sleep everyone went their own way.
i used to talk to the mongooses and feed them in my camp they kinda became pets of sorts.
any how how long have you gone?

I have never camped alone. There is always someone with me. I have six kids and a wife.... what is this "alone" you speak of? The only way I get to escape is if I bring a kid or two along.

Maybe a week, holding down camp, waiting on the rest of the group.

Staying at "The Place" while working on it....2+ weeks....couple of times....

Most everything else has been with family, group, or hunting partner.

I have lived alone for years.

In the house or in a camp alone is no big deal, until you need someone to hold the ladder.

For some being alone is a goal, to others it is punishment.

And at home or in camp, having a bad partner is worse than being alone.
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

Young and dumb. 10 days on a vision quest out west. When I found the highway, the kind couple drove me about 80 miles straight to the hospital. I still do solo's for a few days. Nice break from all the fuss. But I really like hanging out by the campfire with my wife/dog/Tribe.

Haven't camped alone often enough ! I deal with people one on one everyday, so camping alone is a "BIG" blessing ! Anyway, I have camped for a week alone a few times and enjoyed it very much !

I'm really never alone cause the Lord is always with me !

A bit over a week in Denali National Park back country. Many, many 4-5 day backpacking trips. But not in the last two years. Just have too many friends that want to go with me I guess lol.
Why do I live in Alaska? Because I can.
