Thread: Hello from South Texas

    Default Hello from South Texas

I am quite a bit of a newbie. I only have like 3 or 4 years of foraging experience(most of it is in an urban setting) I'm looking to expand my foraging to the truly wild locations 100's and 1000's of miles from civilization. Immediate goal is to hit the canyons in south Utah for some fishing/plant collecting. Long term goal is to visit parts of china and study wild-crafting with some of the locals there

Welcome to the Forums. It is good to set goals! Even more rewarding when you achieve them. China sounds like a real challenge! Good luck and please don't be afraid to use teh search engine or ask questions!

Sweet! Thanks Mrfixit and DSJohnson! I'm trying to hone and perfect a handful of skills here because North China/Mongolia is probably the coldest place in the world to survive(I may never make it there) but if I prepare for it the worse that can happen is I learn some AWESOME skills right?

    Hello! Welcome!
are you planning to go to the Gobi or just wanting the skill set?
It bothers me how someone with new shoes can come up to me asking for money.
