    I kinda like him as he is down to earth.....and doesn't come up with some special kinda materials or in this case the kind of clay.
    The "clay" he used can be had by anyone.........cat litter....LOL.

    So you don't get the, "Well I don't have any of that kind of clay....So I can't do it"

    I read that in place of straw or grass to reinforce it you can use manure. Is this because manure is usually mixed with hay or is there a role played by the smelly side of manure?

    I have had best luck with real straw. Almost any grass will work but straw seems to keep it's integrity better than a lot of others. There are also accounts of using horse hair, buffalo hair and fur/hair from deer and elk.
