    Default Prototyping the TraumaSurgeon XL

    A customer asked me about a longer, heavier set of spikes so I've come up with this so far, prototyping with some scrap aluminum (the hole is incidental):

    It is about 10" long will probably be made from 1/4 5160.

    Looks like that could be a good neck knife. Kinda bird and trout knife looking.

    Maybe I'll work up a smaller one in similar profile and see how that works. I have the first one of these well underway in 3/16" 1075 (since It's the thickest bar stock I have on hand at the moment). It's going to be a pretty hefty thrower in 1/4"
