    Default Cyber hack attempted...

    ...on a popular outdoor themed website.
    Don't want to post the name because I'm not sure it it's against the rules or just poor ettiquette.
    The site was taken off line for roughly 24 hours by the administration.
    Was reported that Chinese hackers were attempting to access various user accounts.
    When all else fails, read the directions, and beware the Chihuahuacabra!

    Maybe they didn't like a certain word being copyrighted. Oh yeah, we're talking about China... lol

    Some attacks are larger scale or more directed than others, but China is one of those parts of the world from which the automated attacks on web services, ssh, etc are more a constant stream than a series of instances.

    I too could not get on that site till now. They have a thread with tons of info on who and how it has been occurring.

    One of the key things they said was LOG OUT AND CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD. Probably a piece of good advice for every forum.
