    Default Lyme disease!

Pulled off my first deer tick last Thursday night. Woke up this morning to a small rash. Erythema migrans forming. Getting progressively worse went to the DR. Immediate doxycycline treatment for 2 weeks. First tick, only my luck... Definitely getting the dog vaccinated now!

Dude. Do you have any luck other than bad? I hope the quick response fixes you up.

Well, my parachute hasn't failed yet. But bad luck is something that seems to have taken a liking to me. One time I had a burning twig snake its' way into my ear and burn a hole through my ear drum on a fire. Weird random injury. Yesterday I had to do paperwork for an injury on a medical, making me late to get to my Lyme disease DR apt. The tiniest cut you've ever seen. Under my glove with no explanation or tear in glove?

I mysteriously disappear from here, you'll know why. Most likely hit by a meteor or something. Maybe I should stay in. Just kidding.. 7:12 am i'm late, off to go free dive alone

If you disappear we'll just assume you've been abducted by aliens.

We live in ground zero area for Lyme's and my DH had it in summer 2012. But questioning the short term of the doxy dose? Everything we read said at least a month dose and that indeed was what both the GP and specialist had him take.

Hope all goes well. It is known as the "crabby drug" as one minute you are yourself, next minute, unprovoked you are crabby or sulking or hollering. No kidding. Good luck

Man I sure caught the disease for me. I'm already chronically fatigued, achy, crabby and sulky. Maybe it wouldn't be such a difference anyway haha!

I've had Doxy before. Took it (or was supposed to) daily in Afghanistan to suppress malaria. Hated it. Cold sweats, headaches, nightmares. Decided i'd take my chances with the malaria and stopped taking it.
