    Walked back to the beaver dam today. It’s interesting how they build small dams along the outflow.

    There is 8 inches of ice on the pond but it stays rotten at the dam.

    Yes, we had mild spell about a week ago with monsoon rains followed by a normal cold snap. It's nice not needing snowshoes.

    This was about it before the rain. Trouble with snow is you can't read the ice.

    What a gorgeous location. That last picture in post 5 is most excellent. If you want to know how fast the sun sinks just try to capture a pic of it on the horizon. Your pic is perfect. Since Crash is gone I'll ask for him...what's that white stuff?

    Truly fantastic.......Of all the pic's I have tried to take over the years.....I can never get shots that are correct...always too dark.
