    Default Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

I just wanted to wish each of you a happy Thanksgiving holiday. If you are traveling I hope your trip is safe and uneventful. To think that we have been here on this remarkable piece of ground since 1621 is humbling. Give your kids and grand kids a special hug this holiday and enjoy yourself.

To all the turkeys out there......Run, baby, run!!!!

Wow! What a wild and crazy years we've had and it's all good. I hope you all have had the same (un-crazy is boring). Have a great thanksgiving!
True enough, my final home is still out there, but this is most certainly my home range and I love it. I love every rock I fall off and tree I trip over. Even when I am close to dying from exhaustion, a beautiful sunset doesn't lose it's power to refresh and inspire me and that, in itself, is enough to save me sometimes.

Don't have to, I was there. I lost my first weapon in one of those infernal birch bark canoes.

Had set down to watch the 11:00 P.M. News, Just now woke up, it's 1:20 A.M. Friday. Don't remember seeing the news, guess the world didn't end, as I'm still here, lol. Had cooked a 21 lb bird that was just delicious, but was so exhausted I really didn't enjoy it. Did enjoy the youngest step son and family.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Every time an older person dies, its like burning a full set of encyclopedias that will never be published again. So, if you ever want to learn more of anything, just find a old tradesman and hang out with him and then when he passes on, not the full set will burn, you'll have parts of it to pass on to others.
