    Default Guests cannot see pictures?

I was just curious, as I've joined another group focused on tanning and I refer them to this site. They tell me they can't see the pictures unless they register. Hopefully, there have been some new registers from that group, but I was curious if you could set permissions per thread, or if it's just a sitewide setting. Thanks! I'm pretty dumb about computers
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

It's a site wide setting. You can allow visitors to view them or turn them off. Leaving it turned on offers no incentive for visitors to join other than to engage in our witty repartee.

And, there was an "issue" a while back with images that caused Chris to turn it on.

We don't have a tanning board. It's more of a chair.

Guests can not see images in the messages. Please register in the forum.

It's not a forum. Just a little chat group.

The bugs with this may be fixed. May be..

Here is the issue. 1. Its a bad idea to show images to guests for a variety of reasons, but the forum software provides no option to turn that off by default, so I have to use a mod.

    2. A problem, posts are cached by the person to view them first after the cache expires. So if a guest views it, no one can see the images. This is bad. The edit should be on the other end, on the display from the post.

    3. A solution, cache is done by styleid, so make a new style, use it for guests. Okay, I did that, but to achieve it I had to force all non-guests to use the Mossy Background style. This should work - my fear is though it may break mobile styles or cause a problem when using the forum on a mobile device. So let me know. It won't go back and fix all old forums/threads, but over time as the caches expire and renew, those old posts will fix automatically.
