Thread: Another TV Show casting "Off The Grid'

Default Another TV Show casting "Off The Grid'

Hey there - I am reality TV casting producer at Crybaby Media based in New York. We are currently doing a casting search for a major cable network that is looking for an 'OFF THE GRID' expert.

Looking for a huge personality that knows the ins and outs of off-the-grid living and can help others navigate their path to becoming completely self-reliant. This person needs to possess the knowledge to coach a family on how to build a sustainable shelter, forage for food, hunt, and live their lives in a remote location, away from the hustle and bustle of modern world.

Looking for someone who is not afraid to be brash with the people who want to make this extreme change. Moving off the gird is not for sissies and this person speaks their mind!

Ideally looking for a male between the ages of 30-50 but we are open to all types of people.

If you are interested, or know of someone who might be, contact me at JonnyB@Crybaby-media.com

    Thanks in advance

    Best,

    Jonny B Good

Well, Jim Rawls, (http://survivalblog.com/) one of the most qualified, I'm pretty sure wouldn't be interested.
The other one, Eric Frein, a criminal, who knows a thing or two about survival has been arrested.
Beyond those 2 guys (who could actually carry a show) I think there's a fast developing fatigue of all things "survival" as portrayed by the popular media.

Yeah, that naked and afraid thingy didn't work out so well. I showed up naked and they ran off screaming. I guess they really were afraid.

Looking for a bully to humiliate a bunch of lost folks seems to be a theme with those production companies.

Ok Rick. I just got the straight story - you refused to sign a contract that didn't include someone holding your hong nearby just in case.

It was more than that. As a star I would need my own trailer and a designer collection of hongs. They didn't mind that so much but they did balk and providing someone to bug out for me if the need arose. The real show stopper was I demanded that all my pics be photoshopped. The claimed there wasn't a super computer big enough to make that many changes. One of those snot nosed hollywood muckety mucks compared it to transforming Jabba the Hut into Brad Pitt. I mean, really.

I once sent in an application for The Colony and The Hunted after a friend bugged me enough. Never heard anything back.
