I have the exact same one and it works very well. I especially like the different light output settings.
It has been on several outdoor treks around the lake and at deer camp and I haven't had any issues to date.
I've dropped it, it has rode around in the pack while hiking and 4 wheeling, so it seems pretty durable.
When all else fails, read the directions, and beware the Chihuahuacabra!

I bought two for my boys. They aren't broke yet. We have had them for a few years. That should say something. If I was buying another one for my kids, I would get the Rayovak indestructible series.

Is that like the Titanic unsinkable series?

Yes,if it can withstand two young boys...that is indeed the ultimate test.

I had two of these. One died in the bottom of a boat during a gator hunt. He got dumped on by thunderstorms and more water dragging the gator in the boat. I had taken it off at some point and it got knocked off of the seat. I didn't look for it again until the next afternoon. It was filled with water.

The other one lasted me a couple of years and still worked after that switch cover rubber piece fell off. I had it hanging from the rear view for most of the time I had it. So, storing it like that is going to reduce the life of the light. I went to use it earlier this year and I think the switch gave out. I have others and didn't really fuss with it because the switch cap was already missing.

I am very hard on gear. So, your mileage may vary.

My dog ate (chewed) mine and it still works... I wish they would make one with a UV LED along with the white and red.

My wife has one. She uses it in the woods.

I like mine for around camp and also around the house when digging in a far recess or doing a home repair.

I use mine around the house as well. Not having to hold a flashlight is worth a lot. Of course, my kids don't get the experience of holding a flashlight for dad. I was the official light holder for years when I was a kid.

I've had two of those headlamps for several years now. (possibly slightly different model.) I have enjoyed using them... until.... I just got my Nitecore HC50. Wow.

I Have 3 of those. My original one from about 8 years ago I still good. The other 2 are significantly brighter though. For about $12 each, they are a deal!
