Correct! The old M3 Stuarts, Grants and Lees all had rotary engines as did the M7 Priest. The later Shermans used Chrysler 5 bank gasoline engines with 30 cylinders. Probably why the Brits referred to them as Zippos. There was a later M6 series that used a Wright G-200 radial engine but it was short lived.
This one the crank stays still, the motor rotates...........

I thought it neat that he said the inspiration came from a motorcycle that had the engine in the rear wheel so it also served as a flywheel. I had to look it up. It was a Millett.

The nmotor cycle was supposed to go 35 MPH.....doesn't all you blood run out of your head at that speed?
....or is that just the bone heads that text and drive......then flip me off when I honk....at least they missed a sentence or two with the flip......Hahaha
