    Default Wording

I just get a kick out of how some things get worded. Take this craigslist ad., for example.

    I get it....but, dang. Hahaha

Here's another good one. (Unless you the old chickens.)

    Old Hens for Stew/Pet food - $2

I have about 70 old spent hens mostly Barred Rocks but also some other breeds. They are 3 years old (or older) and not laying eggs...or very few. Best use is for stewing or pet food. These are live hens and not processed. Sold as is.

I took this one nearby. I always get a chuckle as I think of an old man getting rid of his wife.

Actually these wordings are the standard form in each of the areas of interest they cover.

Our separation from our agricultural roots has also separated us from the language of agricultural production.

Did this once...."once"....bought a hundred on the hoof, caught killed and cleaned all of them....They were rubber chickens, wouldn't cook down and even the dog wouldn't eat them
