Crash - what do you think of the 5160 steel they are using?
Although I haven't worked with 5160, it is a tough steel and IMO very decent for larger knives. The edge retention is reportedly not as good as some other steels so it may be a trade off between tough and edge retention.
As far as the knives shown - I don't care for the powder coat finish, but who knows - it could grow on me. I do generally like Buck Knives.
I'm not sure about them. 5160 is usually only sold as 1/4" thick so while it may be alright for the hatchet and chopping froe, I don't think it would perform to well in the knife. The red turns me off. Why not some other color. The chopping froe looks like it may be decent, but I wouldn't spend that much money on one (granted it is msrp) when there are other large choppers for cheaper.

5160 is the steel used for the Buck Hoodlum. Maybe they wanted to use the same steel for their own line:

The froe looks interesting though. But at $160 msrp, I doubt I'll be buying one. Will have to wait for reviews before deciding. I am happy they're made in the USA....

Looks strangely like a BG concoction. My Buck Hunter 110 folder has yet to fail; so I'll just stay with that, thank you.

While I have no doubt about the quality of Buck, I think that the red color is ugly. I don't plan on buying a new knife, but if I was going to spend any serious cash on a new blade, it'd be a Crashblade!.....

I'm sort of scratching my head over them. I think Dom is right about the Marbles comparison. They don't do anything for me personally. There are a couple of folks on here that have made much nicer looking and better quality knives.

I had to use Google to find the series and open the link.
Red blades..........WTF is that for....?
Must have added some young gaming zombie hunters in R&D?
Don't like them at all.......They give Buck a bad name.
