    Default "The Shack"

This is our little home away from everything. We own 100 acres of bush that starts about 200 yards off the road with nothing but bush, ponds and beaver meadows for miles in every other direction. I originally put an 18' trailer on the land when I first bought it in 1996 but we started on this work in progress about 10 years ago. Nothing fancy but it's warm and dry. Got a wood stove for heat and just last year I wired it for a small generator. It's currently about 10'x20' but we're going to bump out the one end at least another 8' as soon as we get some money for the lumber. After that I want to clad it in something. Great place to hang out and of course in the fall it's home base for deer and moose hunting.

My son lives outside of Barrie and would rather hunt then eat. Man do you guys ever have a big moose population up north. Throw in a weather tight camp and it’s a win win situation!

We're just outside of Huntsville. Got some great hunting there. I took this deer off the property in 2009 and the moose in 2012.

Nice 'Shack"....just what a guy needs to stay warm and dry in the "Bush".
So did you name it or was the name bestowed on it as mine was...LOL

    Any pic's of the build?

100 acres does give you some room to roam around.....I'm kinda hemmed in now....and almost lost out of the 6 acre "Unit 2" to the east of me.

Great post, I really enjoy seeing what other have done and how it can to be.
    Thanks for posting.
