I Wonder Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink what ever comes out?"

I don't know if you've seen this but it must be kind of new. Picked it up with mine, pretty neat. Tripod housed in handle, can be flipped and attached to handle or used solo.

Very cool.

As it turned out I am left handed and did the first one right side up. I was using my right brain and created it with a perfect artistic flair. I then stupidly turned it over to cut the other one and began using my left brain. Bad idea. Actually, I drilled four holes in each side and then I trimmed it with a utility knife. It's pretty soft plastic.

Rick,
Learned any more tips? I just broke down and bought the Hero 3+ Silver. Took my first photos with it this evening. They came out really good. I am using a 4GB Ultra disk. I haven't done any video yet. Thanks for the tip on the package base, will be modifying mine tonight.

Not really. I think the GoPro is a great camera and I love wearing it. Unfortunately, it does have limitations and they are pretty big in my book. The ability to capture decent images at 30 yards and beyond is pretty awful. The camera begs for a zoom. If you have the touch screen back it eats batteries. That little viewer can trounce a battery in about 30 minutes. It demands multiple batteries. But for close in work or underwater/wet weather there are no equals in that price range IMO. It's cool to wear it hiking and then go back and look at the footage. I see stuff on the camera I completely missed while hiking. Fortunately, that hasn't been a cougar or Blair Witch thingy.....yet.
Now you need one on your backpack to see what's been sneakin up behind you or waiting for you to go on by before crossing the trail.

Won't happen. I have The List. That will keep me out of their territory. Heck, I even avoid the reptile exhibit at the zoo.
