Default Need cheap filler for gap between spruce logs inside sauna, permachink to expensive

Ok, I have an unfinished sauna that is built from spruce logs and teh gap is bad...like 1.5 inches in many places, some 2 inches...and permachink is too expensive...I need something cheap and that will work well INSIDE the sauna to fill the gaps...thought about a bag of concrete and mud mixture...

anyone know of something cheap to fill these gaps?

If you go with concrete, make sure that you use a backer, such as chicken wire, or the like.

I was thinking that a sauna would have to deal with moisture.....so one would have to be aware on materials reacting with that.

Sounds like the fitting of the logs left something to be desired......but with out any feed back kinda hard to say.

I would use mortar over concrete. Still would back it with chicken wire though. I think the stone aggregate in concrete would be annoying and make it difficult to point.
